I’m Jason Garthoffner, a graphic and web designer based in Orange County, California with more than 20 years of professional experience creating digital and print design solutions across a wide range of industries. My background spans brand development, marketing design, email design and coding, web design, print collateral, presentation materials, and visual content systems that help organizations communicate clearly and consistently.
While my work is primarily rooted in graphic, web, and marketing design, I regularly apply UX and usability principles to improve clarity, hierarchy, accessibility, and overall user experience — especially in web and email environments where communication and usability are deeply connected.
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked closely with marketing and creative teams to help shape campaigns, develop brand standards, build scalable content systems, and solve real-world design problems under tight deadlines and evolving business needs. I’ve helped companies establish recognizable visual identities, modernize legacy materials, and create polished, user-focused experiences across both digital and print platforms.
I also actively incorporate AI tools into my workflow where they provide meaningful value. This includes using tools like ChatGPT and Claude to assist with email development and troubleshooting, and platforms such as OpenArt, Recraft, and Adobe Photoshop’s Generative Fill to accelerate concepting, image editing, and creative production. I view AI as a practical extension of the creative process — helping improve efficiency while still relying on strong design judgment, strategy, and execution.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my kids, exploring personal creative projects, staying active, and continuing to learn about design, technology, culture, and visual communication.
